I played with these settings and switched from AHD to VNG and converted some images from the browser. The little status windows said "VNG Interpolation". Thats's ok. Then I switched back to AHD interpolation and tried another images, but the status windows still said "VNG Interpolation". Is this a problem with - my local configuration - the switching mechanism AHD <--> VNG - or the message in the status window? Winfried

Winfried, Are you opening the same image in both cases? There are cases where VNG is the only available interpolation. In that case it is used regardless of setting. (That's why the setting is called 'preferred interpolation method'. However, if it is the same image then that's obviously a bug. Kiril |

Yes, I opened the same image in both cases? I use raw images from Canon Digital Rebel and Pentax *isDS. Can you tell me the name of the registry entry for this option so I can look whether the value is correct? Winfried |

Winfried, The parameter is stored under color settings. Each camera will have its own setting. The settings will be under the topic param: Mfg Model This topic records three numbers. The last number can be a 2531 for AHD or 2532 for VNG. Kiril

Kiril, I checked the registry entries. The values changed, but the status window still said "VNG Interpolation" I killed the registry entry, but no change. To overcome the problem I delete the registry entry and the file PW35.BrowseInfo and started PW40 again. I selected AHD interpolation, started the Browser and selected one of my testimages. The status window said "AHD Interpolation". I guess that some kind of mismatch between the registry entry and the PW35.BrowseInfo causes my problems. Winfried
