Canon 20D raw After conversion from raw to tiff my (simple) standard workflow is: First group: Geometry: rotate/warp/lens distortion Color balance Brightness curve all the above "as needed": different parameters for each photo. Second group: Saturation: plus some Sharpening: amount 100% radius 1 threshold 0 Sharpening: amount 20% radius 40 threshold 0 The last three steps are mostly the same for a certain set of pics, so if would be handy to have a way to recall the sequence, apply it and save the result. (I don't like PS at all, but it has this) With PWP 4 instead I have to do the first group, save the intermediate tiffs, put them toghether in the workflow window, then apply the saved second group of transformations. I think this could be of interest to many. Ciao ! Lorenzo

I sugest to have the abilty to insert opened images in Workflow, not only saved files. And to have the ability to produce a new window with the result image, without having to save it. It would be possible then to run a "partial" Workflow on every image wich is being processed, without the need to save-load-save-load. Dieter |

Gentlemen, isn't that what the "Display in Workflow" option is for in the "Output" widget? One can choose to have the resulting images open in the current Workflow, no Workflow (just save them...), or in a "new" Workflow - which can then be set to an existing Workflow. At least that has worked for me. What would be nice is for the second (or subsequent) Workflow(s) to automatically execute once they receive the new input files.

Dieter, yes this could be a way, but the option to run a saved partial workflow on a single image would be nice and applicable to many sequences, not only to the one I have indicated above.

Mark What i had in mind was to have a output widget that create a new image window, just like most Transformations do. It is possible to open the image from within the current Workflow or a new one, but it would save mouseclicks to have the direct option to produce just a new image. Dieter

Ah, I see what you mean Dieter. I also agree with adding this to the (growing) list of improvements... |

I'm used to "Transformation -> .." for doing things. I suggest to add an item "Workflows" which reads the workflows in a special folder and creates submenu-entries. ( Transformation -> Workflows -> CreateWebImage). A second suggestion are "interactive" widgets - the output widget asks for the location of the resulting files. Regards Johannes |

Johannes, Actually there is already of list of workflows -- it's accessed by clicking the Options button in the lower Workflow window. The interactive widget idea and other workflow enhancements are under consideration for a future release. Kiril |
